FAQs
- “Does Olympic Dental take my insurance?
The best way to find out is to contact us so that we can check your policy. We usually work with any insurance plan that allows you to choose your dentist regardless of a list of dentists or having to be assigned to a particular dentist. If your insurance card has PPO or Indemnity printed on it, we most likely accept your insurance. If it has DMO or DHMO printed on it, we do not accept your insurance.
- Does Olympic Dental file all necessary insurance forms for me?
As a courtesy to you, we do file all needed forms to your insurance company. Although you have dental insurance, it is not guaranteed that they will always pay as expected. We will also submit any extra information regarding your treatment on your behalf to help your claim to be approved. Even with this, payment is not guaranteed and ultimately you will be responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance
- Does Olympic Dental offer payment plans?
We recognize that dental treatment can become expensive especially if a lot of treatment is needed. If we accept your dental insurance, we will make every effort to maximize what your policy covers in order to limit your out-of-pocket expenses. If you desire payment plans, we use CareCredit and Lending Club, which are low interest and/or no interest monthly payment programs specifically designed to pay for healthcare and elective treatment not covered by insurance. - What should I expect on my first visit?
During your first visit to Olympic Dental, you can expect to have a thorough exam of your oral health. This will consist of x-rays, a gum exam, an oral cancer screen, an examination of all teeth, and existing dental restorations. Dr. Gor and the hygienist will determine the type of cleaning that best fits your needs. Dr. Gor will also discuss any of your dental concerns along with any recommended treatment
- Will I get my teeth cleaned on my first visit?
Usually yes. During your first visit with us, we will perform a gum exam to evaluate the health of your gums. We schedule enough time during your first visit to perform a thorough, regular routine cleaning. If active gum disease is detected and scaling and root planing is needed, you will most likely have to make another appointment so that time can be allotted to sufficiently perform the treatment.
- What if I have an anxiety to going to the dentist?
Dr. Gor takes people’s anxiety or fear of dental treatment seriously. Depending on your level of anxiety, we have different options to help you relax ranging from Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) to sedation dentistry. Dr. Gor can discuss with you what would be the best option to overcome your fear.
